Course Registration: Counselors will be meeting with students over the next several weeks (most of March) to talk about course registration for the 2020-21 school year. Please visit this website for additional information regarding course registration and locating applications for application-only courses. Contact your/ your child's counselor if you have any additional questions.
NACAC Raleigh National College Fair: The Raleigh National College Fair will be hosted at the Raleigh Convention Center on Thursday March 19, 2020 from 4:30 to 7:30. Representatives from public and private college and universities across the nation will be present. Please click this link for registration and additional information.
B.U.I.L.D. Summit: NC State University will be hosting The Brothers United In Leadership Development (B.U.I.L.D.) Summit on March 28th in Poe Hall. The summit focuses on developing leadership skills and career and college readiness in young men of color. It is free to attend, but space is limited! For more information, please click here.
John F. Kennedy 2020 Profile in Courage Essay Contest: The Profile in Courage essay contest is open to all high school students in grades 9 through 12. Participants are to write a 700 to 1,000 word essay about a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917 and explain that person's historical impact on the United States. Placing prizes range from $100 to $10,000. For more information on eligibility and how to enter, click here.
Credit by Demonstrated Mastery: Credit by Demonstrated Mastery is an opportunity for students to earn a course credit by demonstrating knowledge and skills in that specific content area. Initial applications will be accepted mid-November through mid-December. Please speak with your child and review information from the academic page of the Heritage High School website for more details and application instructions.
